Thejkumar wins State Championship
Top seed M.S. Thejkumar (2382) won the Mangalore FIDE-rated State Open chess championship which concluded here on Wednesday.
Thej, who finished on the same score of 7.5 points with G.A. Stany (2155), claimed the title on a better progressive score.
Both Thej and Stany had to be content with draws in their final round games against P. Gopalkrishna (7) and M.G. Gahan (7) respectively.
